Working out and Being Pregnant

Prior to being pregnant I was a hardcore workoutaholic... The last few weeks Ive totally not been myself. Hardcore workouts are a thing of the past I think. At least for the next 6+ months. I truly miss the pavement outside but its way to hot even stepping outside at 8 o'clock at night. During my long runs was my time to reflect on the week and work thru things that might have bothered me. It was like my depression medication. As of right now I cant find anything that compares to the feeling of a runner's high and totally zoning out while running.

You really dont start to get a runner's high until about mile 4-5. It takes your body a bit to level out then it feels like you are walking but your actually running. Im putting this in my blog to give myself a goal in the 2nd Trimester. After Im pretty safe knowing Im out of first tri Im going to run outside again. But only 3-4 miles per doctor request. If I have to run in the dark or wake up at the butt crack of dawn I will do it. I know at some point I will have to stop running and walk because it will be bothersome to my bladder.

Im so excited for the day I get to meet this baby and share my love for running with he or she. I truly hope that when they get older they feel the way I do about it. Its something that keeps you grounded. I cant wait to sign up for a race and my child will be holding up a sign cheering me on thru out the course saying Go Momma!!!
