We have furniture..

As of last Wednesday we already have our baby furniture. So crazy.. We went to this store called Lonestar Baby & Kids in Dallas its going out of business and had baby furniture marked down pretty low! We got the crib, ardmoire, dresser, night stand, rails to make into a full, and a mattress for $1699!! It was a steal. The furniture alone without discount was $3000. We went with the cherry color instead of white or espresso! Im excited about getting this but right now its all wrapped up and sitting in our music room. I have a guest bed in the room that will be the baby room! Next on our agenda is to possibly change the carpet as well!! Im still overwhelmed that we even have furniture its crazy!!!

Maternity clothes?

Still no maternity clothes. I have gone and got me some bigger shirts because anything tight on my belly is not comfortable. Had to use the rubber band trick the other night wearing jeans because I was so bloated by the evening time.

Sleep?

Im sleeping pretty good til the dogs wake me up around 7 am on my days off and I cant go back to sleep. I use to be able to easily go back to sleep but not anymore. Guess I can thank nausea for this one.

Best moment this week?

Going to the RE yesterday and seeing our little lovebug and seeing the heart flicker on the screen!

Food cravings:

Steak Fingers and Coke Icees Yum!!!! Seems like anything I havent eaten in 3 years I want.

Gender:

Still no gender but wish we knew this early. Ha ha ha....

What I miss?

Loving the mornings! But I will take it knowing in the end I get a beautiful baby!

What I'm looking forward to:

Im looking forward to going back to my OB/GYN. I graduated yesterday from my RE! I know he will be so happy for us! I had thought about changing but my RE talked us out of it yesterday!

You having a baby...

I picked up a great book at Barnes & Noble the other day. Its written by Dr. Oz the Doctor that you would see sometimes on Oprah and he now has his own show. Here is a pic of the book:

The reason for telling you about this book is because it is a really great book. It goes into major depth about what your body is going thru and so forth. It even has a website you can go to that will allow you to buy a workout video that is specific to the trimester you are in. His advice is so good and Im already doing some of the things he tells me to do!!!!

R.I.P. John's Uncle

My husband's uncle was over at a friends house on Wednesday drinking a alcholic beverage and slumped over in the chair and became unresponsive. They rushed him to a near by hospital and pronounced him dead on arrival. He was a very sweet man and he will be dearly missed.

We are all still in shock and today is his funeral and I guess this will seal the deal. Im constantly keeping his 3 daugthers, wife, and grandchildren in my prayers. Knowing what it feels like to lose someone close like that hurts so much. I cant wait to see them and give them the biggest hug I can.

So this post is for you Bill! Your family and friends love you so very much. You are and will be missed forever. May you rest in peace.

I had to add that John's uncle was really good friends with George Bush Jr. They went to college together. After the funeral he was at John's Aunts house. It was so amazing to meet him. He was talking to John's aunt about wanting grandkids and we hadn't told his Aunt yet we were pregnant. So John said to his Aunt your brother is going to be a grandfather!! She was so happy and so was George. He gave me and my MIL knuckles. It was too funny! He told us Congrats! Wow what a story to tell my kid one day! Plus he got John's number and they might go mountain biking together. So crazy!!!

Well sleep is different this week. Im waking up in the middle of the night and having to pee!

Just watching the way my husband looks at me. I can tell not only is he totally in love with me

but is already in love with our little lovebug. So so adorable!

My boobs not hurting so bad that Im living in sports bras.

Im looking forward to being a mother. I cant wait to hold my baby in my arms.

Making it to 6 weeks and the spotting had stopped.

 

 

 

New letters!!!!

These letters mean alot to mean. The girl Im doing this for lost her baby at 36 weeks to still birth. I had done the letters for that room and now they are tucked away. I have everything crossed and pray everyday that this sweet angel she is pregnant with now is her take home baby. She is naming her baby Ryleigh. Here is her baby room deco:

She painted the room the green color so I could not do any letters green. I tried really hard to find some owls and I did!!!! So here it is. Tell me what you guys thing!!

On the letters that have alot of stuff going on I just added rhinestones to give it alittle something instead of making it more busy than it already is. The girl wants to add her own ribbon. Thinking she might be doing a color and thats why she didnt want me to do it. I wouldnt be able to match it as I havent seen her room yet.

Im in love...

Good morning everyone. Sorry for not posting much. Trying to think of stuff to post. I cant wait til next wednesday we have our first U/S. Hoping that all goes well and we get to hear the heartbeat. John is not a crier and I have a feeling his eyes will fill up with tears if he hears it. We are going to see if we can video the sound so we can post it on here!!!

I have this deep gut feeling its a girl but we will see. We have been playing around with names. At first if it is a girl we wanted Lila but we like it spelled Lyla better. John's sister's middle name is Jane and that will be the middle name. So Lyla Jane it is!!! If it is a boy we were starting to have some issues. We liked Lucas but lucas has become the new aiden, caden, etc. So we are going with Miles Jackson. Jackson is my grandfathers middle name and my due date is on his bday.

Had my first smelling food aversion sunday. I was so excited about getting Red Hot & Blue and ordered for people at work and went and picked it up. Got in the car with the food and the smell of the bbq sauce made my stomach uneasy. I got to work and sat down to eat and one bite was so hard to swallow. Needless to say I ate maybe a quater of the sandwich. Do have to say Im so happy to have these kind of symptoms because it makes me aware that there is a baby inside of me. You will never see me complain about all this... I mean ever!!!!!!

Milestones:

Seeing our little lovebug at the end of June!

And the symptoms kick in....

I have to say first and foremost Im so happy to finally have real symptoms and not phantom symptoms. For 10 months I questioned myself ever 2 week wait if it was a symptom or not. Update on the spotting: It finally has stopped. Im so happy about that. I never thought I would get implantation spotting but I did. I thought it was pretty rare well I guess Im in that 20%. I can relax alittle bit I guess.

I still wake up in the mornings and wonder if Im still pregnant or not. Its so weird. I still have a few cheap pregnancy test that I have used just to reassure myself that everything is ok. Cant wait til June 22nd!!! I went to get pedicures and eat lunch with my best friend today and she told me you will never stop worrying even after you have them. Oh boy Im in store for a ride.... I loved all the tips and advice she has for me. Im like a open book and want to learn so much!!!

John and I decided this past week after us finding out we are pregnant that we are going to try and put the house back on the market and sell it. I talked to our realtor and she said this is the best time to sell and your house is too cute. So please for the love of goodness give me the patient, strength, and the want to keep this house is tip top shape every single day. We figured it would be easier to sell this house when its just us then wait the 2 years we had inital talked about have a almost 2 year old and trying for #2. So as of yesterday we knocked down our fence so we could put up a new one that will look so much better and appeal to buyers!!

Telling our parents caught on Video!!

Friday we told John's dad and step mom and it was just what we expected. We told them that I was out shopping and found some goofy gifts for them. It was actually a coffee mug that had different ways to say grandpa and a onesie that said "Got Grandma on speed dial". Here is the video:

On Sunday we told my family by taking a family picture at my house and John said on 3 say cheese for one picture and on the second picture he said on three say Crissy's Pregnant!! My mom you will see in the video was so shocked she just walked away and started crying. They are so so so happy for us! Here is that video:

After we told my family my mom asked what the due date was and it is actually on the birthday of my grandfather who passed away in 2003. He was like a father to me and I miss him dearly. What better way to celebrate his life with a baby that is born around his birthday! Makes me so happy!!!!

We sent John's mom and stepdad a package on Thursday. John told his mom he was sending her some cd's and a few goofy gifts for them!!! They got the package Saturday and are so excited! They called us and talked to us on speaker phone. We wanted a video of them too but didnt want to ruin the surprise for either one of them. They live in Montana!

Last Beta Numbers!!!

My last beta numbers were 486!!!! I cant believe it!! John and I are going to be parents!!! Our first U/S is June 22nd!!

Beta's are in!!!!!!

Went this morning at 10am to get my blood drawn at the RE's office to check the beta levels. I swear that office is way to busy. She hardly had any time to talk to me and address my concerns about me spotting still. She at first said it could be good or bad. I told it was brown and she said thats good its old blood.

So I had to wait til after 2 pm to get the call about the beta and they didnt call til 3. Talking about one nervous lady.... Well it was 181!!!!!! She stated that Im way pregnant and to come back on Friday!!! I talked to the actual nurse and she said as long it stays brown and doesnt turn red with severe cramping Im in the clear!

Im still in total shock and getting that number really helped me realize that this is it!!! Cant wait til we get to hear the heartbeat and stuff!!! My husband has been walking around for the last few days with this huge smile on his face!

Im so ready for some other TTGP/3T girls join me soon!! Praying for you all!!
