Our First Christmas as a Married Couple!

This year we were able to spend Christmas together. It was so awesome. Waking up next to an excited husband ready to open presents was so great!! He is a good listener and got me everything I asked for!! Had to be the best Christmas ever! There is one person I really miss this time of year and that is my Papaw. Love and Miss him so much!

So many things to be thankful for this year that is fixing to end!  I told John in 2011 he has to start posting on this blog! So hopefully soon you will see some entries from him!!! Ha ha ha.....

Furbabies!!!

Well I was able to get all 3 dogs in front of the Christmas tree and take a picture. Not the best picture but to get all 3 of them to do this was awesome!!! They got treats afterwards for being such good dogs! Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Christmas lights on the house!!!

Well John hurt his back last week so I took the need to put up the Christmas lights this past monday!!! We did less than we normally do. But oh well!! I could not go one Christmas with out the lights!!!

Our Christmas Tree is Up!!

Yay yesterday we put up the Christmas tree!!! Next year we are doing a real tree... With the cold weather it actually feels like the Holidays!

Taking house off the Market

As of today we are taking our house off the market. We decided we didnt need a big house right now. So our next plan is to find some land to buy and work on paying that off and then building a house there some day. John has family that are home builders so hopefully they can help us out!! The cartoon pcture says it all. For us to buy another house we have to sell ours!

Ann visiting us from Montana

Ann came down from Montana to visit us for a few days. We enjoyed her so much. We went and watched Due date, took her to Babes chicken house, and relaxed and watched the horrible Cowboys. But I guess they are getting better. We hated to see her go and wont get to see her again til Feb. Hoping that next year we can go to Montana again!!!!

Halloween!!

For halloween we normally go to some party and dress up. Well there were no parties to go to so we went with my family to trunk or treat at the church they go to. We had so much fun seeing the kids all dressed up. Then we went an ate at cheddars. We loved spending time with the family!!

Wedding Reception of a Coworkers

The day before halloween we went to a wedding reception of a couple that we work with. We had a great time. A few of our other coworkers were there. It was nice to see everyone dressed up and not in scrubs!!

Blueberry Crumb Cake

John and I were off yesterday and decided to make this amazing Crumb Cake. He found the recipe on a website. www.thepioneerwoman.com Will be trying more of her recipes!! We had so much fun in the kitchen cooking together!

House officially on the market!!

As of the beginning of October we put our house on the market!!! My best friends mother in law is our realtor!! She is awesome!! We are hoping it takes a bit to sell. Not in a big huge rush!

Florida!!!!

A week after we got back from Montana we headed to Florida for my World softball tournament!! It was a fun filled weekend of softball. We got 17 out 99 teams! We played very good!! So happy to play with such a great group of girls!! They feel like family!!!

Montana Vacation!!!

Last Thursday we got up at 330 to get on a plane at 6:05am to head to the beautiful country of Montana. John's mother and step dad moved up there 3 weeks before we came. We were so stoked about going up there to see there long lifetime dream of living up there. What an amazing place it was... Everywhere you looked it was a perfect picture for a postcard. We can see why Ann and Mike love it there. There house is super cute!! They have the most amazing scenary from there living room and kitchen. They even get bears coming up to there patio. On top of spending time doing tourist stuff John and I ran the Two Bear Marathon Sunday the 12th. Let me tell you that was the hardest marathon John and I both have ever or will ever do. Fourteen miles of the marathon were trail and the rest was asphalt with lots of hills. There were times I thought I would break my ankle or fall on my butt. There were some seriously steep inclines and declines. John finished the marathon in 4hrs 19mins and I finished mine in 5 hrs 19mins. John met me at 25 miles and ran the last part with me. Thats love right there!! Im one lucky lady! So happy we can enjoy these experiences together. He is my rock!!! We are both looking forward to going back! We did not want to leave and wish everyday we were still there!!

Chilaxin' In Louisana with The Brunson's

On Friday the 20th we headed to New Orleans to meet the couple that we hung out with on the cruise. They live and hour outside of New Orleans in Morgan City. We had a fun filled trip. A combination of meeting there family, watching boat races, a fresh crab & shrimp boil, and walking around New Orleans. By the way I never want to go back to down town New Orleans again. It stunk so freaking bad. Yuck!! Joni and Bud bought a house in May and have been remodeling it until the the day before we came. They moved in an unpacked in two days. It was crazy. I think I would have been a wreck. Her parents and Bud did alot of the work themselves. It looks so nice. Wished they would come to Texas and help us with our house. We had such a great time with them. We invited them to come see us in March. So hopefully I will get an email with their itinerary!!!

Road trip to Edmond Oklahoma

Last saturday morning we took a road trip with Ann and Mike to see Marilyn John's grandmother. Ann and Mike are leaving for Montana very soon and wanted to see her before they leave. So happy we got a chance to see her as well. We brought along our wedding video because she was unable to make it to the wedding. She loved it!! We took her to lunch, and it was go good. Mimi's Cafe has the best muffins ever. We enjoyed road tripping with his mom and step dad. We talked about our jobs, what we will do in Montana when we go, etc. We will be heading to Montana Sept 9th. We cant wait.

Softball Champions

Yesterday I played in a softball tournament in Mansfield!! We won first! John worked friday night and only slept 2 hours and came to the tournment and watched every game. Im so lucky!! Love having a fan! The girls in the outfield went to Target and found shirts that said "Welcome to the Gun Show". It was really funny!! Way to go Jolt! It was a great tournament but really hot!!

Back from New Mexico

John and I just got back from New Mexico. Angel fire is so gorgeous! We went with my best friend Aurore and her husband Aaron and their 1 month old baby Reed! You could not even tell we were around a baby. Four wheeling in the mountains was wicked awesome! Had a great birthday up there! They made me a red velvet cake and sang happy bday to me! The weather there was so amazing. The highs were 75 and the lows were 39-40. Had fun road tripping with the Mizars and hope to do it again!!

First Post!!

Well today I offically bought a new car as Cristin Minnett!! Got me a cute black Ford Edge. Im going to put 100,000 miles on that car before I get another one. Poor John worked last night and slept maybe an hour 1/2 and got up and went with me. What a trooper. Then he had to go to work hoping he would get to leave work at 11. But to his worry he had to stay at work. Him working nights really stinks. I havent really seen seen him since thursday. Ready for some quality time together!!
